Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen left room for speculation about Thomas Tuchel’s future when asked by a fan if the under-fire coach is leaving.
After Bayern Munich’s 3-2 loss to Bochum on Sunday, their third defeat in a row, club CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen was quick to confirm that Thomas Tuchel will still be the head coach against RB Leipzig this Saturday.
However, when asked by a fan at Bayern’s headquarters on Tuesday morning if Tuchel will be leaving, Dreesen wasn’t unequivocal in his commitment to the coach, according to Bild.
After Dreessen initially responded with a smile, the fan pressed for an answer and said: “No joke.”
“Let’s see,” the Bayern CEO then replied before rushing into the garage with a grin on his face.
Xabi Alonso, Zinedine Zidane and Antonio Conte are among the names mentioned as possible replacements for Tuchel should he lose his job.
