John Calipari is off to Fayetteville to be the next coach of the Razorbacks. Over his last 18 months at Kentucky, Calipari had hit the recruiting grounds hard and put together the No. 2 class in the country.
With Calipari leaving, the status of Kentucky’s class is up in the air, to put it safely, and already suffered a decommitment Monday.
Karter Knox (No. 20 Overall): Karter Knox — the younger brother of Kevin Knox Jr., who played for John Calipari — had committed to the Wildcats in March but decommitted from Kentucky on Monday following Calipari’s exit. When going through the recruiting process, the Knox family had boxes they were looking to check between play-style, coach, coaching staff, facilities etc. But now, those remain question marks between both programs. With he recruitment now open again, it’s likely that they will be exploring schools that fit their standards.
