Running back Kameron Davis and Florida State’s trio of cornerback commits, Charles Lester, Jamari Howard, and Cai Bates, are all candidates for early playing time, according to Noles247’s Chris Nee, but Thomas can find an “immediate role.” The 6-foot-4 pass-catcher has drawn comparisons to CJ Uzomah and is a potential “X-factor at the tight end position,” per Ivins.
“The hope inside the building is that tight end Landen Thomas can find an immediate role,” Nee said. “FSU returns Kyle Morlock, entering his second season after transferring in, at tight end, but will need to fill the void created when Jaheim Bell moved on to the NFL Draft.”
