Most impactful transfer: Kadyn Proctor, Alabama, OT
Because Iowa returns much of its two-deep from last season, there is not a whole lot of opportunity for incoming freshmen from the 2024 recruiting class to step in and make an early impact. However, of the Hawkeyes’ haul of newcomers, Weisskopf likely has the most upside as an athletic linebacker that could soon star in the middle of the Iowa defense. The Hawkeyes made a massive — literally — move in the transfer portal with the addition of Proctor, a 6-foot-7, 360-pound offensive tackle. The Iowa native returns home ready to anchor the offensive line in 2024.
