At 6-8, the Miami Dolphins’ NFL Playoff hopes are just about extinguished as their odds of making it are incredibly slim.
Miami would need to win out the rest of the way but would also need several matchups to break their way in order to sneak into the playoffs.
The Dolphins struggled in the middle of the 2024 NFL season when Tua Tagovailoa was placed on injured reserve after suffering a scary concussion.
Although Tagovailoa eventually returned, the offense hasn’t been quite as explosive as it has been under head coach Mike McDaniel over the years.
Their Week 15 loss to the Houston Texans essentially put the nail in the coffin of their chances of making the playoffs, which has fans riled up as they prepare for another disappointing season.
Fans are so upset that they commissioned a plane to fly over their stadium with a sign imploring owner Stephen Ross to fire general manager Chris Grier via MLFootball.

Grier has served as general manager of the Dolphins since the 2016 NFL season, though during his tenure, the team has not seen much postseason success.
The pressure to fire Grier seems to be at an all-time high, and it’s understandable given the fans’ expectations for the team.
It remains to be seen if Ross will actually fire Grier, though this time around, he would have plenty of evidence to do so.
