Dan Orlovsky played in the NFL from 2005-2017, only starting 12 games throughout his tenure in the league, going 2-10 in those starts.
Orlovsky is best known as an analyst, a job he has done for the past several years at ESPN.
He’s a polarizing figure, to say the least, as some fans aren’t keen on his takes, but that can be said about many of the other analysts on ESPN as well.
While Orlovsky has been successful during his time at ESPN, he’s recently hinted at taking a break from the screen, but until recently, it’s been unclear what that new venture might be.
However, Orlovksy recently posted on X about Kellen Moore being hired as the newest head coach of the New Orleans Saints, which has caused NFL fans to go into a tailspin, believing that he could join Moore on the coaching staff.
Happy for a good friend. Very smart. Multiple places over last 4 years. Seen it done a lot of ways. Find your QB!! https://t.co/2QoHyg2H5I

Whether or not Orlovsky has a desire to become a coach in the NFL remains to be seen, but there could at least be some merit to what these fans have been saying about him.
He and Moore have a strong relationship, and with the Saints looking to rebuild over the next few seasons, bringing in someone like Orlovsky, who has fresh eyes to the team’s situation, might help kick-start them in the right direction.
Orlovsky has plenty of experience at the NFL level, so he could provide valuable mentorship and coaching to this Saints team, especially if they bring in a new quarterback to start the year.
