Jalin Turner wanted a walkoff knockout. Instead, he let Renato Moicano off the hook, and Moicano got his revenge at UFC 300.
Turner dropped Moicano with a punch in the first round of their prelim and thought he’d secured the finish, even signaling to ref Herb Dean that Moicano was done. The only problem was, Moicano wasn’t.
Moicano escaped the first frame and then did what he had to do, exploited Turner’s grappling weaknesses before finishing the fight with a flurry of ground and pound.
Fighters were not amused by Turner’s decision. But they were highly entertained by Moicano’s post-fight speech, another one for the highlight reels (and a headache for the censors). Here’s how fighters reacted to Renato Moicano vs. Jalin Turner at UFC 300.
