University of Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders was the most sacked player in college football last season (52 sacks taken).
Which is why head coach Deion Sanders made it a priority to find his quarterback (and son), better protection for the 2024 season – an effort that led to the commitment of five-star offensive tackle Jordan Seaton.
As he spoke to Colorado media for the first time on Wednesday, Seaton disclosed that Sanders’ opposite approach of pointing out things in his game that he needs to work on as opposed to singing his praises like most coaches made “Coach Prime” stand out above everyone else.
“He told me I need to bend my hips a little bit more, so I’m like, ‘I can work with that,’” Seaton recalled. “Right now you’re trying to elevate me, and I’m not even here. You’re invested in me and just want me to win, and I haven’t even came to your school yet. So that kind of stood out to me the most. I don’t really like the yes men in your ear.”
