None may have had a better time than Duncanville (Texas) High quarterback Keelon Russell, a Lone Star state champion who received an offer during his trip. Russell plays against arguably the best competition in the country and torched defenses to the tune of 3,267 yards and 35 touchdowns to just three interceptions.
“I love the relationship,” Russell told 247Sports. He is a verbal to SMU. “And I loved the talks from the coaches and players. What really impressed me was the environment. I just know it’s very lit out here.
