History was made in the 2024 NFL Draft, marking the first time that six quarterbacks were drafted in the first round, starting with Caleb Williams and finishing with Bo Nix, who were both made Week 1 starters for the Chicago Bears and Denver Broncos.
Although Williams has gotten a lot of buzz for potentially becoming an NFL superstar right out of the gate for the Bears while being the first franchise quarterback the team has ever had, Jayden Daniels has made a lot of noise while leading the Washington Commanders, who are sitting atop the NFC East division standings with a record of 4-2.
In the first six weeks of the 2024 NFL season, the majority of these quarterbacks have become starters for their respective teams from Williams, Daniels, Drake Maye to Nix, which isn’t something that happens all that often.
All four of these starting rookie quarterbacks have shown promise for a bright future, with Maye getting his first start in Week 6 and throwing three touchdowns in his debut, which prompted former NFL player Darius Butler of The Pat McAfee Show to dub this year’s top three picks as the greatest consecutive quarterback picks ever via NFL on ESPN.

Even though Williams and Daniels look like the real deal after six weeks, Maye still has a lot to prove, but does have the weakest roster in comparison to the Bears and Commanders, with the New England Patriots in rebuild mode.
It’ll be interesting to see how Maye does moving forward because he looked good this weekend despite throwing two interceptions.
