The Philadelphia Eagles will get their second crack at the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl in the last three seasons, and they may or may not end up avenging their loss there two years ago when they blew a 10-point halftime lead.
There are those who feel the Chiefs are virtually invincible, especially given all the allegations that they repeatedly receive favorable calls and non-calls from referees.
But T. J. Houshmandzadeh said on Fox Sports 1’s “Speak” that he thinks the Cincinnati Bengals, a team people have forgotten about lately, are still the biggest threat to the Chiefs when it comes to the big picture.
“When you look at it, they’ve been to so many Super Bowls. Only [Tom] Brady and [Joe] Burrow has prevented them since [Patrick] Mahomes has been their quarterback.”

The Bengals, indeed, were the last team to prevent the Chiefs from getting to the Super Bowl — they did so in the 2021 season when they defeated Mahomes and crew in the AFC Championship Game.
Since then, however, they have gone through a nose dive and now have a murky future.
Burrow continues to be one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, and in fact, he led the league with 4,918 passing yards and 43 touchdown passes.
But Cincinnati missed the playoffs for the second year in a row, and once again, injuries were a culprit.
They now have to deal with the contract situations of wide receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, both of whom have been due for contract extensions in recent months.
Chase has one year left on his contract, while Higgins is about to become a free agent.
If the Bengals don’t figure out a way to keep both of them in the fold for at least one more year, they will have absolutely no shot at toppling Kansas City next season.
