The Buffalo Bills are coming off of one of their most impressive wins of the season.
They took down the Detroit Lions in a hard-fought battle, a game that many are calling a Super Bowl preview.
Josh Allen and his teammates were able to bounce back in this game after losing to the Los Angeles Rams the week prior.
This win was encouraging in many respects, as it kept the Bills in play for the coveted first-round bye in the playoffs.
However, in a recent segment of NFL Live on ESPN, Andrew Hawkins pointed out the fact that the Bills allowed over 40 points in their last two games, a reason for concern moving forward.
“This is a bad point in the season for this to be such an issue,” Hawkins said.
.@hawk says he is concerned about the Bills defense after giving up 40 points in back-to-back games 😯

The Rams and Lions certainly have a lot of firepower on offense, but the Bills can’t expect to put up 40+ points in the playoffs to counteract strong play from opposing teams.
Hawkins is concerned about the Bills’ defense down the stretch, wondering if they’ll be able to handle this level of intensity over the next several weeks.
Josh Allen is playing at an elite level, causing many to consider him the MVP favorite, but if he has a dud game, the Bills’ defense might not be able to hold off opposing teams.
It will be interesting to see if things get better for this unit in the playoffs.
