The NFL was hit by some stunning news when it was revealed the Los Angeles Rams are looking to trade star wide receiver Cooper Kupp.
Kupp, who led the league in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns in 2021 and helped the Rams win the Super Bowl that season, doesn’t like the fact he’s being shopped, but rumors have already begun as far as where he may be headed.
Former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III recently stated where he thinks Kupp should play next season.
“The Washington Commanders should trade for Cooper Kupp. Owns the middle of the field. Moves the chains. Quarterbacks’ best friend. Perfect for Jayden Daniels going into year 2 with [Terry McLaurin’s] speed on the outside,” Griffin wrote on X.

Griffin, a former Washington QB, seems to envision Kupp operating underneath while McLaurin does his thing as a vertical threat.
The Commanders surprised many this season with a 12-5 record and an upset of the Detroit Lions in the divisional round of the playoffs before falling to the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship Game.
It seems they need just a couple more pieces to climb into true Super Bowl contention.
Kupp has failed to duplicate his prodigious production, primarily due to injuries, but he is still a playmaker when healthy.
He is 31 years old, however, and an argument could be made that the Commanders would be better off going after a younger wideout who can be a part of their program for several years.
