Dylan Robinson is one of the top uncommitted athletes in the 2025 class.
A four-star athlete hailing from La Verne, California, Robinson is ranked as the No. 7 athlete in the 2025 class and one of the top overall recruits from the talent-rich state of California.
At 6-foot-3, 190 pounds, he’s a two-way player for Bonita High School and he’s being recruited by different schools on both sides of the ball. He can play safety, cornerback or wide receiver, and as a junior, he caught 22 passes for 514 yards and six touchdowns while notching 69 tackles and four interceptions as a defender.
Robinson is the type of athlete who can be a game-changer for a college program, so it’s no surprise that he has nearly 20 offers to his name. Despite having plenty of options, though, Robinson has narrowed his interest list down to three schools: Notre Dame, UCLA and Washington.
He also knows he wants to commit soon. In fact, he’s set a commitment date for July 18, per On3.
“I am still working the final things out, but I am close,” Robinson told On3. “There are good people at all three schools, and that is a main reason why these are my top three schools, so I have a lot to think about it. Each is a great school, so I have a lot to think about.”
While it does sound like this decision will come down to the wire, Robinson does know what he likes at each school.
Notre Dame, is, well Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish don’t need much of a pitch.
Robinson likes the staff at UCLA and seems to like new head coach DeShaun Foster.
“The new staff is great. UCLA has great history and coach DeShaun Foster has a great vision and plan for the team,” Robinson told On3. He is trying to get it back to what it was when he was there. Coach Foster is looking to do big things and I like his plan for the program.”
The problem? He also likes the staff at Washington.
“It feels like family there and I like the staff. Coach Jedd Fisch turned Arizona around and at Washington, he just needs to keep things going. The staff is what makes Washington stand out,” Robinson said.
Ultimately, the four-star is taking the moment seriously and he does want this decision to be final.
“I have to lay everything out there and talk it out with my family. I will talk each possibility out and pray about it. Time is huge for me. That is why I am doing it a little later. I don’t want to commit, decommit and all, so I am taking a little more time to make sure of my decision,” he said.
