Greenwood (Ind.) Center Grove four-star quarterback and Duke commit Tyler Cherry tells 247Sports he’ll visit Indiana on Friday night for a quick visit with the new staff.
“I’m excited to get to meet the new coaching staff and see their new vision for the program,” Cherry said.
The 6-foot-5, 205-pound Cherry has been a verbal to the Blue Devis since May 20, but the coaching change in Durham has opened the door for the Hoosiers and Michigan State to make a late move. Curt Cignetti and this IU staff hopes to continue doing that.
New offensive coordinator Mike Shanahan and quarterbacks coach Tino Sunseri recently visited with Cherry.
