Florida State has landed a quarterback commitment in the 2025 class. Kevin Sperry, a four-star quarterback out of Denton (Tex.) Guyer, has flipped his pledge from Oklahoma to FSU, according to HayesFawcett — who announced the news on X.com moments ago.
Sperry hadn’t had his name linked to the Seminoles in recent months, but has been on campus before. He has tripped to Tallahassee three times — all occuring back in 2022.
The 6-foot-1, 200-pound signal caller had been committed to the Sooners for about a year and a half before flipping to FSU.
According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Sperry checks in as the No. 263 overall prospect and No. 24 quarterback nationally.
He completed 131 of 234 passes for 2,026 yards as a high school senior, with 21 touchdowns and 7 interceptions. Also has 642 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns. Guyer just beat McKinney 52-30 in the first round of the UIL Texas Football State Championships.
Last season, as a junior, he completed 131 of 191 passes for 31 touchdowns and 4 INT whale rushing for 563 yards and 11 touchdowns.
