The disappointing Jets season is taking its toll.
Star wideout Garrett Wilson was asked during media availability on Thursday if he would like to be with the team “long-term.”
“I don’t know man. I just do whatever, go about my day, be where my feet at,” Wilson said.
“If they do [want to keep me] that would be awesome. I love the Jets. At the end of the day, they were the ones that believed in me. But yeah, I can’t be worried about all that. Just going to finish these three games the right way. But I don’t know man. I can’t be looking at all that.”
Earlier this week, ESPN Jets reporter Rich Cimini said that people in Wilson’s camp expect him to request a trade this offseason.
Wilson, who was selected 10th overall in the 2022 NFL Draft, has 84 catches for 933 yards and six touchdowns this year.
On Wednesday, quarterback Aaron Rodgers said that he would take his time this offseason in deciding if he wants to return to the NFL next season.
