The Memphis Grizzlies are converting point guard Yuki Kawamura to a two-way contract. Kawamura had signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Grizzlies earlier this offseason.
Kawamura flashed his playmaking ability during the preseason with Memphis. The 5-foot-8 guard averaged 4.2 assists in 15.1 minutes per game.
Last season for the Yokohama B-Corsairs of Japan’s B.League, Kawamura averaged 20.9 points, 7.9 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game.
