Harry Kane was not present at Sabener Strasse today as Bayern Munich prepared for Sunday’s meeting with Eintracht Frankfurt.
Sharp-eyed fans and cameramen alike noticed the absence of the English marksman who has been through the wars lately.
Kane, who was a doubt for Bayern’s 1-1 second-leg draw with Celtic on Tuesday, could only manage the first-half before Kingsley Coman replaced him at the break.
The original concern was a facial knock when Bayern’s striker duelled with Leverkusen’s Piero Hincapie last weekend.
However, it has emerged that the 31-year-old has since suffered a minor calf injury. It is touch-and-go whether he will be fit in time ahead of Matchday 23.
Vincent Kompany will be hopeful that his top goal-scorer can recover hastily as Die Adler, who sit third in the Bundesliga standings, come to town.
