Midlothian (Texas) High 2025 Top247 four-star offensive lineman Nelson McGuire (more on him later in today’s rankings notes) grabbed headlines recently with his commitment to Texas A&M, but he’s not the only high-level O-lineman at MHS. Noah Best, a talented 2026 prospect, debuted this week on 247Sports with a high three-star 89 rating.
Best plays right tackle opposite McGuire’s left-side spot, but projects particularly well to the interior in the long run. He’s tested quite well in lateral agility categories, which represent a common marker that indicates long-term success on the offensive line.
Best, who plays physical and looks to finish, also competes in shot put and discus, posting respectable sophomore numbers in each. He could potentially be a center projection given his physical dimensions, especially considering his get-off twitch, natural leverage, and consistency in keeping his hands inside targets.
Best has emerged as one of the more heavily recruited O-line prospects in TXHSFB’s 2026 class, reporting nearly 20 offers, including Arkansas, LSU, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, SMU, TCU, Texas, Texas A&M, and plenty of others. — Gabe Brooks, 247Sports national scouting analyst
