Carmel (Ind.) High offensive lineman Evan Parker tells 247Sports he has committed to Indiana. The 6-foot-4, 295-pound Parker chose to play for new head coach Curt Cignetti and his staff after visiting two weekends ago.
“It was just the culture and what they’re going to be doing there is insane,” Parker said. “I cannot emphasize that’s a brand new program and they’re not messing around.”
Parker becomes commit No. 2 for the Hoosiers in the 2025 cycle joining fellow offensive lineman Matt Marek. He was recruited by offensive line coach Bob Bostad and defensive line coach Pat Kuntz.
“I just realized I can be developed by Coach Bostad and I have a home there,” Parker said. “There were so many factors. How close it is to home. How they treated me and stuff like that. Hospitality, the direction of the program.”
Parker chose Indiana over an offer list that included Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Colorado State, Kent State, Miami (Ohio), Toledo and Western Michigan.
