Missouri: Sean East and Nick Honor are out the door, so Dennis Gates is aiming at a difference-making point guard to steady the ship and put a dreadful Year 2 in the rearview mirror.
Houston: If Jamal Shead decides to go pro, Houston will have a huge opening to replenish at point guard.
Northwestern: For the first time in a half-decade, Boo Buie will not be running the show. Northwestern has big shoes to fill.
Colorado: KJ Simpson has a stay-or-go decision. After a standout junior season, he could jump to the pros. Other attrition is expected in CU’s backcourt that will likely force Tad Boyle into the portal for loads of backcourt help.
Memphis: Penny Hardaway is expected to be active in the transfer portal waters again. Point guard will be near the top of the list after Jahvon Quinerly’s exit.
TCU: TCU’s backcourt will look vastly different next season with Jameer Nelson Jr., Trey Tennyson and Avery Anderson III out of the mix. Jamie Dixon reeled in Nelson, one of the top point guards in the 2023 cycle, and he will have to swing big again.
