KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Overtime’s OT7 circuit rolled into the Sunshine State this weekend for its first of two tournaments outside of Orlando. While plenty of recruits are out on the road taking visits, dozens of blue-chip prospects made their way to the Austin-Tindall Sports Complex for the two-day event, including multiple high-profile quarterbacks. Below, we have some initial eye-catchers after taking in Saturday’s pool play action. We’ll have top performers and more evaluation notes after Sunday’s elimination play.
–Deuce Knight, QB, Notre Dame commit: We have already seen Knight throw multiple times this offseason and Saturday might have been his best performance to date. The athletic lefty was sharp from to finish and capped things off in style with a near-perfect game against Ohio State quarterback commit Tavien St. Clair. In a matchup between the two Elite 11 finalists, Knight went 8-of-8 passing for 160 yards and four touchdowns. Two of those scores were deep balls that traveled over 35 yards through the air. Knight is a special athlete with top-flight testing markers, but he was a streaky passer last season at Lucedale (Miss.) George County, which makes Saturday’s outing that much more encouraging, especially when you also consider the fact that Knight shined a few weeks ago at the Elite 11 regional in Oxford.
–Tavien St. Clair, QB, Ohio State commit: Unlike most high-profile quarterbacks, St. Clair hasn’t played much 7-on-7 football to date, but a recent ruling by the Ohio High School Athletic Association is allowing him and others to compete on the club circuit. It took St. Clair a little bit to find his bearings, but he quickly got adjusted to the tournament’s rules and delivered some absolute dimes. One highlight of the day for St. Clair came when he rolled away from a blitz and fired a tight spiral between two defenders to keep the chains moving. We really liked what we saw out of the Bellefontaine (Ohio) High star at last weekend’s Elite 11 regional outside of Columbus and continue to view him as one of the top signal callers in the cycle with the combination of his college-ready frame, natural athleticism and high-powered arm.
–Kayden Dixon-Wyatt, WR, class of 2026: Dixon-Wyatt was the go-to target for FSU quarterback commit Tramell Jones Jr. on Saturday. He lined up on both the inside and the outside and proved to be a tough cover with his agility and speed. What also stood out about Dixon-Wyatt was how he attacked the football with authority at the catch point with strong hands. He finished pool play with multiple touchdowns, scoring on a variety of different routes, and often at key moments. Dixon-Wyatt is coming off a sophomore campaign at Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei in which he caught 33 passes for 512 yards and six touchdowns. It wouldn’t be surprising to see those numbers double as a junior for the storied program.
–Aidan Anding, CB: There might not have been a stickier defender in coverage Saturday than Anding, who had a pair of pass break ups in his first game. He isn’t the longest cornerback, but he proved to be competitive on the outside as he maintained phase with his quick feet and hand checks. Anding put strong spells on tape as a junior at Ruston (La.) and owns a promising multi-sport profile, having qualified for states in the long jump and also earned all-district honors on the hardwood. A few Power Four programs already have Anding high on the board and wouldn’t be surprising to see more get involved as he’s got the skills to thrive in a nickel role.
–Trey McNutt, SAF: The No. 1-ranked safety in the Top247 looked the part as he broke up multiple passes in coverage. McNutt, who also made some timely plays on offense while doubling as a wide receiver, is a fluid mover that’s quick to read and diagnose. He can get a little too aggressive at times and put himself in some comprisable situations, but he’s got the foot speed to recover and knows how to play the football once it’s airborne. McNutt spent some time at Florida on Friday and took a recent trip to Oregon. The Cleveland (Ohio) Shaker Heights product is also considering USC, Ohio State, Tennessee, Georgia and Texas A&M.
–Tristen Keys, WR, class of 2026: Keys made his rankings debut in the initial Top247 for the soon-to-be juniors earlier this week and we’re feeling really good about the decision to put a fourth star next to his name after watching him move around. The three-sport athlete of Hattiesburg (Miss.) provided a nice one-two punch working opposite of Xavier McDonald and was able to constantly create separation with his sharp cuts. He laid out for a 40-yard touchdown on a deep shot for arguably the catch of the day. Florida State, Tennessee and Mississippi State have all offered in recent months. It was easy to see why.
