The New England Patriots are one of the younger NFL teams struggling at the moment.
They have lost four games in a row and currently sit in last place in the AFC East at 3-11.
With plenty of intriguing head coach candidates on the market this offseason, could the Pats consider moving on from head coach Jerod Mayo after just one season?
If they did, perhaps former Patriots player and Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel could be an option.
Insider Greg Bedard believes that Vrabel would be interested in coaching the Patriots and that former offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels could come with him.
“Yes, (Vrabel) would have interest in coaching the New England Patriots. I. think there’s a pretty good chance that Josh McDaniels would come with him. That’s my understanding,” Bedard said via the Greg Bedard Patriots Podcast.

Vrabel brought the Tennessee Titans back to relevancy as he guided them to four winning seasons, multiple AFC South titles, and an AFC Championship appearance in six seasons in the Music City.
He also won three Super Bowls and became an All-Pro player with the Pats during his playing career.
If New England wanted to hire Vrabel, it could make a ton of sense, considering his track record and how rough of a go it has been for Mayo this season.
The return of Josh McDaniels as offensive coordinator could also grab headlines.
A longtime assistant with the Patriots, the six-time Super Bowl champion helped quarterback Tom Brady and the Patriots work magic on the offensive side.
If he could do that with young Drake Maye, the sky could be the limit for this Patriots offense.
