Director of scouting Andrew Ivins and national analyst Cooper Petagna joined forces this week to dish on the 2025 Ohio State recruiting class. The trio analyzed the Buckeyes’ 26-man commitment list and named the prospects with early-draft-pick and day-one impact potential, along with boom-or-bust candidates and diamonds in the rough.
Ohio State’s recruiting class ranks No. 2 in the nation and No. 1 in the Big Ten. It’s headlined by Bellefontaine (Ohio) quarterback Tavien St. Clair, the No. 2 overall prospect in the class and the highest-rated quarterback to land in Columbus since Quinn Ewers in 2021. Five-star cornerbacks Devin Sanchez and Na’eem Offord round out the top of Ohio State’s class.
Ohio State aims for its sixth-straight, top-five recruiting finish under coach Ryan Day and its first top-two finish since 2021. The Buckeyes’ 26 commitments in 2025 are third-most in the Big Ten behind Rutgers and Washington, while the Buckeyes’ 93.34 average rating of commit ranks second behind Oregon.
