Star coach Jürgen Klopp surprised everybody when he decided to quit as Liverpool coach just a few weeks into 2024. The Independent now claims that Klopp’s former club Dortmund might be recruiting him in 2025.
No BVB fan will ever forget the successful years they’ve had when Jürgen Klopp was their head coach. Two Bundesliga titles, one DFB-Pokal and a Champions League final speak for themselves.
After his time at Dortmund, Klopp had an even more successful time at Liverpool, winning the Premier League and Champions League in the process. But this era also comes to an end at the end of the 2023/24 season.
So what‘s next for Klopp? He openly stated that he wanted to take a break from football for at least a year – something many good coaches have done before him, too (i. e. Pep Guardiola).
British newspaper The Independent now claims, that Borussia Dortmund are looking to get Klopp back to the Signal Iduna Park in 2025 – but surprisingly not as their head coach, but as their ‘head of football’.
Since his announcement to leave Liverpool, Klopp has been in discussion to take over a variety of clubs. Whether it will be at Bayern, Dortmund, Madrid or even as head coach of the German national team is a question only Klopp himself will be able to answer.
Any football fan would be happy to see Klopp and his character being involved with the sport – in the end, it won’t matter in which position or at what club.
