Jalen Johnson is “not yet trending” towards signing a contract extension with the Atlanta Hawks, sources told Marc Stein of The Stein Line.
Monday is the deadline for first- and second-round picks from the 2021 draft to sign rookie-scale contract extensions.
Johnson has been the most impressive player in Hawks’ training camp, according to Stein.
Johnson averaged 16.0 points and 8.7 rebounds last season.
