Jimmy Butler did not travel with the Miami Heat to Orlando, but he was a popular topic of conversation at the Heat’s shootaround session on Thursday morning in Orlando. With ESPN’s Shams Charania reporting Wednesday that Butler prefers to be traded out of Miami, Heat coach Erik Spoelstra and players were asked about the ongoing speculation ahead of Thursday night’s matchup against the Magic at Kia Center. “That’s just the deal,” Spoelstra said of the ongoing speculation surrounding Butler’s future with the Heat. “You have to compartmentalize in this business. We want Jimmy here. There’s no ifs, ands or buts about it. And it’s just unfortunate that you have to control or deal with a lot of the noise on the outside.
