Green Bay Packers fans were torn when the team decided to sign Josh Jacobs in the offseason.
Jacobs, of course, was a successful running back with the Las Vegas Raiders, so the Packers knew he could do a lot on the field.
But, acquiring Jacobs meant the departure of Aaron Jones, who was one of the most beloved players on the team.
Jones moved to their rival, the Minnesota Vikings, who has put up some fantastic numbers all year.
Thankfully, Jacobs has turned out much better than originally expected, a key element to the Packers making it to the playoffs this year.
He was effective both on the ground and in the air, although, he was most utilized on the ground.
This allowed Jacobs to rack up touchdowns throughout the year, and he ended up breaking a team record in the process, as Clutch Points highlighted on X.
Jacobs rushed for a touchdown in nine straight games, the longest such streak in team history.

Jacobs hasn’t just been good this year, but by many accounts, he’s been great.
He couldn’t do quite enough to help the Packers beat the Philadelphia Eagles in the Wild Card round, but he gave the Packers confidence that he can be a leader in this offense in 2025 and beyond.
Jordan Love isn’t going anywhere, and with the Packers mostly having young receivers on the roster, this team has a chance to get back to the playoffs in 2025, perhaps going on a deeper run after another year together.
