Josh Allen strengthened his NFL MVP case with another dominant performance on Sunday.
The Buffalo Bills quarterback showcased his versatility, throwing for 182 yards and two touchdowns while adding a rushing touchdown in a commanding 40-14 victory over the New York Jets.
His impact was so decisive that he watched the entire fourth quarter from the sidelines, the game already well secured.
Bills wide receiver Keon Coleman expressed his unwavering support for Allen’s MVP candidacy.
When asked if Allen had done enough to secure the award, Coleman responded emphatically, per NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe:
“It took this long? He should have been the MVP 5 years ago.”

Coleman’s enthusiasm isn’t without merit. Despite losing key offensive weapons Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis in the offseason, Allen has guided the Bills to an impressive 13-3 record.
His dual-threat capabilities have been on full display throughout the season, accumulating 40 total touchdowns and maintaining his status as one of the NFL’s premier quarterbacks.
While the Kansas City Chiefs’ Week 17 victory diminished Buffalo’s chances of securing a first-round bye, the Bills remain a formidable presence in the AFC playoff picture.
Though Allen’s primary focus likely centers on Super Bowl aspirations rather than individual accolades, his continued excellence puts both achievements within reach.
The MVP race remains competitive, with Lamar Jackson and Saquon Barkley among the contenders.
However, Allen’s consistent ability to dominate games through both passing and rushing continues to strengthen his position in this season’s race.
