The NFL Defensive Player of the Year award is one of the most coveted in the business.
So, it makes sense that a current head coach would speak very highly of one of his defensive players when it comes to winning the award.
“I don’t see how (Myles Garrett’s) not the best defensive player in the league this year,” Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said, via Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team.

When it comes to the league’s best defensive players, Garrett is near the top of the list.
The six-time Pro Bowler and reigning Defensive Player of the Year is an absolute force off the edge.
He has recorded at least 14 sacks in four consecutive seasons and at least 10 sacks in seven consecutive seasons, all with the Browns.
Additionally, he has 115 tackles for loss and 200 quarterback hits in his great career.
This season, Garrett has a career-high 21 tackles for loss and leads the league with 14.0 sacks.
Other players in the running for the award are Detroit Lions safety Kerby Joseph, who leads the league in interceptions; Pittsburgh Steelers edge rusher T.J. Watt, who has won the award before; and Denver Broncos cornerback Pat Surtain II.
Despite a poor season from the Browns, Garrett has held up his end of the bargain.
If there is a big-time player who is the most deserving of the award, Garrett might be the guy.
