In 2015, Bayern Munich signed a young, talented teenage winger on loan from Juventus. Nearly a decade later, it seems that Kingsley Coman may finally leave the club. Such a departure was already close in the 2024 summer transfer window, as a €40 million move to Saudi Arabia collapsed at the very end. But, according to @iMiaSanMia, the collapse of the move to the Middle East may have been more of a delay instead:
Kingsley Coman has been told that Bayern would like to sell him. The Frenchman wants to stay until the end of the season but would be open to a move to Saudi Arabia in the summer.
Bayern’s desire to sell him is hardly news at this point, as the near departure proved. Would the interest from Saudi Arabia still be there, though one year on? And if not, would someone else be willing to pay Coman’s rather sizable salary? Perhaps the door will not open again and last summer was the Bavarians’ only chance to move the Frenchman on before his contract expiry.
Still, even if that does prove to be the case, it does seem rather poetic that the man who scored the Champions League winner in 2020 would (more or less) complete a decade at the club.
