The college basketball season does not start until Nov. 4, but fans would’ve thought that the season was already in full swing thanks to an exciting weekend.
Over the weekend, there were several exhibition matches between power conference programs. One of these games was Duke’s home exhibition match against Arizona State. Since Rutgers’ Ace Bailey and Dylan Harper already has their introductions to college ball, all the attention was on Cooper Flagg – the No. 1 recruit in the class of 2024 and the projected No. 1 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft — for the Blue Devil’s exhibition.
Unfortunately, Flagg did not have his best performance. He posted a mere 9 points while shooting 3-9 from the field. But, Flagg’s absence from the spotlight set the stage for three other talented freshmen (one being his own teammate) to steal the show.
