Two of the best light heavyweight fighters in boxing will go toe-to-toe later tonight (Sat., Feb. 1, 2025) LIVE on Amazon Prime pay-per-view (PPV) from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, when interim WBC light heavyweight champion, David Benavidez (29-0, 24 KO), collides with WBA light heavyweight champion, David Morrell Jr. (11-0, 9 KO).
Fight fans can also watch “Benavidez vs. Morrell Jr.” on PPV.com right here.
Benavidez has proven to be one of the best finishers in boxing right now and someone who has captured wins over former champions like Caleb Plant, Demetrius Andrade and Oleksandr Gvozdyk. Still, “The Monster” is just a small betting favorite to leave “Sin City” victorious and that’s because Morrell has looked tremendous through his first 11 professional fights.
Remember: the Cuban champion also went 130–5 as an amateur boxer before turning professional in 2019.
Luckily for fight fans, Saturday’s PBC Fight Night card will offer even more high-level boxing. In the co-main event, reigning WBC interim featherweight champion Brandon Figueroa will meet former WBC super bantamweight champion Stephen Fulton in a rematch more than three years in the making. Also on the main card, former WBA super lightweight champion Isaac Cruz will look to get back into the win column when he takes on fellow Mexican boxer Angel Fierro.
Before the PPV main card gets underway beginning at 8 p.m. ET, PBC will offer up some “Prelims” fights LIVE and FREE in the above player starting at 5:30 p.m. ET. Official YouTube description is below:
The streaming presentation will feature undefeated Argentine Olympian Mirco Cuello taking on Mexican contender Christian Olivo in a 10-round featherweight matchup, WBA No. 1-ranked middleweight contender Yoenli Feliciano Hernandez will face all-action contender Angel Ruiz in a 10-round duel, and sensational top prospect Curmel Moton will take on Frank Zaldivar in an eight-round lightweight battle to kick off PBC on Prime Video Prelims.
