14. Missouri Tigers
Last year: 30-24, 10-20 SEC, no postseason
It’s a new era in Columbia, Missouri, as former Memphis coach Kerrick Jackson takes over a program that’s in a tough spot. Jackson previously did solid work in one season at Memphis and three seasons at Southern, but he only got back into the college game in 2023 after having served as president of the MLB Draft League for three years. Mizzou is a major rebuilding job.
Out of last year’s regulars, only Trevor Austin and Matt Garcia return. Jackson hit the NCAA transfer portal hard, but most of Mizzou’s additions are highly unproven at this level of baseball. Wake Forest transfer Danny Corona was a great get, however, and could push for All-SEC honors. Mizzou might not finish in this spot, but it has a lot to prove beforeĀ it can receive any benefit of the doubt.
