The 2023 CFP nearly provided a national championship contest between Texas and Michigan, and while the sports world missed out on that colossal battle between two of the biggest brands around, the two sides meet next year in an early non-conference spot. There is only one other likely top-25 matchup in Week 2, but outside of that, Boise State’s trip to Oregon is sneakily intriguing. The Ducks are winless all-time against the Broncos, and if that trend continues, Dan Lanning might face an uphill battle in securing his first Playoff appearance.
