Earlier in February, Oklahoma State landed a commitment from Idabel (Okla.) standout Matrail Lopez, a versatile high school standout expected to play receiver once he arrives in Stillwater. Lopez is a highly productive high school player in all three phases, as evidenced by his ability to score touchdowns in five different categories this past fall: receiving, rushing, interception return, punt return, and kickoff return.
Lopez, who debuts in the 247Sports rankings with a high three-star 87 rating, finished his junior season with 41 receptions for 814 yards and 10 touchdowns on 19.9 yards per catch, while rushing for 484 yards and nine scores on 13.1 yards per carry. He also registered 60-plus tackles, including five for loss, along with three INTs and six pass breakups from his spot in the secondary.
