Transfer portal season isn’t in full swing yet, but you could argue that the early 2024-25 cycle’s most popular player is someone few would have expected: Northwest Missouri State tight end Zach Atkins.
A former unrated recruit, Atkins was a high school wide receiver who’s now grown into a near 6-foot-5, 245-pound tight end.
Schools have taken notice since he entered the portal with Atkins reporting 18 FBS offers, including double-digit opportunities from Power Four programs.
