Mario Cristobal is set to make multiple notable personnel and recruiting hires at Miami.
The Hurricanes are set to hire Arkansas State’s Trip Carrico as executive director of player personnel, Arizona State director of scouting Devontay Love-Taylor as assistant director of player personnel and UAB’s Jacob Lucas as college scouting coordinator, sources tell 247Sports.
Carrico, who has been assistant athletic director for player personnel at Arkansas State, was previously director of scouting at ECU after also working at Virginia and Alabama. At Alabama, he worked with then Crimson Tide assistant and current Miami head coach Mario Cristobal.
Love-Taylor is a Florida native and former Florida State team captain and honorable mention All-ACC offensive lineman who’s now considered a rising star in the recruiting space.
Lucas, meanwhile, is a Miami grad who spent four years on the Hurricanes football staff before working most recently as a player personnel coordinator under Trent Dilfer at UAB.
