Michael Page will co-headline the upcoming UFC Saudi Arabia mixed martial arts (MMA) event on Sat., Feb. 1, 2025 at The Venue in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, when he collides with undefeated striker Shara Magomedov.
Page, 37, is convinced that his striking will reign supreme across their three-round middleweight mashup, to the point where Magomedov, 30, will resort to panic wrestling.
“I think he will be a lot more stubborn in believing in his ability,” Page told Michael Bisping. “So, I think I’d definitely be landing some crazy shots if he decides to go for a takedown, because like I said, I think he in his mind he believes he’s the best when it comes to the striking game. So, it will take a few knocks before he decides to change that, and maybe it might be too little too late. I think he’ll be very bloodied up if he is going for a takedown.”
It didn’t take long for “Bullet” to fire back.
“Michael Page I heard you say that I will bleed in our fight on February 1st,” Magomed responded on Instagram, wielding a gun over a fake corpse. “Yes I will bleed, only in yours. PS: The video is taken from a movie filmed in Hollywood, no one was hurt.”
Page (22-3) is looking to rebound from his unanimous decision loss to Ian Garry as part of the 303 fight card back in June 2024. As for Magomedov (15-0), he kept his undefeated record intact by stopping Armen Petrosyan at UFC 308 last October.
