Mike Perry can’t seem to get a fight booked at BKFC.
In fact, “Platinum” — undefeated for BKFC at 5-0 with three straight knockouts — has remained inactive since getting “fired” by former UFC champion Conor McGregor, who now owns a sizable stake in the up-and-coming combat sports promotion.
“It doesn’t seem to be panning out, that’s what’s happening,” Perry told Overdogs Podcast. “I’m just like … fine, sure, like offer me somebody, tell me what’s going on. Tell me something! I guess Conor really did fire me. What the f*ck, where’s my fight at?’’
Perry, 33, insists the creation of his own “Dirty Boxing” promotion had no bearing on his good standing with BKFC and suggests the existing talent is to blame for his inactivity. Probably because of what happens to fighters who pair up with “Platinum.”
“[David] Feldman wished me luck, wished us luck, said ‘I hope it goes well.’ I don’t think they are threatened by us,” Perry continued. “They are very high level in bare knuckle and I think they’re just trying to find the right thing that they can’t seem to quite make happen.”
Perhaps the winner of this fight would make the right fit for Perry’s 2025 return.
