Missouri is on a hot streak and the Tigers are looking to capitalize on their 9-3 regular season record, which was capped off by a rivalry game win over Arkansas this past weekend.
Specifically, head coach Eliah Drinkwitz is hoping the momentum from a strong season will translate to the recruiting trail, and it sure has done so and more over the past 24 hours.
On Sunday night, the Tigers were able to flip four-star running back Marquise Davis from Kentucky. He’s a big-time recruit for Mizzou, ranked as the No. 13 running back in the 2025 class.
On Monday, four-star wide receiver DaMarion Fowlkes flipped his commitment from Pittsburgh to Missouri. He had been committed to Pitt since June, but the Tigers offered him this past weekend when he took an official visit. That was all it took to get him to change his mind and become a Tiger.
“The coaches and players made it feel like home for me and I’m excited to be a Tiger!” he told 247Sports regarding his commitment.
He saw Mizzou beat Arkansas while on the official and also got to know the coaching staff a bit more, including Drinkwitz.
“I really like the head coach, “Coach Drink.” He was honest with me about what it’s like being at Missouri and I like his mindset of how to deal with adversity,” Folkes explained. “The wide receiver coach, (Jacob) Peeler, is also great. He has a lot of experience when it comes to developing young wide receivers and turning them into playmakers. He also has a track record of putting players in the league.”
