The NCAA claims that its NIL regulations trump state laws. Some universities and their respective states, though, disagree.
“The Supreme Court has said what the NCAA is doing, what they’re trying to do right now, is unlawful,” 247Sports’ Brandon Marcello said. “And that’s why these lawsuits are being filed quickly… The NCAA just has no teeth, and they’re not really going to be able to go about and limit programs the way they are hoping right now.”
