Taylor Tatum, 2024 Top247 four-star RB, Oklahoma commit (online stream): Tatum ran really hard in Longview (Texas) High School’s convincing 52-14 Texas Class 5A Division I second-round playoff rout of Frisco (Texas) Reedy from McKinney ISD Stadium. He punched in two early short-yardage goal-line touchdowns, and also erased a couple of pursuit angles on a 37-yard reverse that set up a half-ending 22-yard field goal for a 31-7 intermission lead. According to StarLocalMedia.com, Tatum finished the night with 17 carries for 136 yards and the two touchdowns. Tatum continues to show highly instinctive running back play with early acceleration and convicted run-finishing ability. — Gabe Brooks, 247Sports national scouting analyst
Max Anderson, 2024 Top247 four-star IOL, Tennessee commit (online stream): Anderson’s Frisco Reedy squad fell on the short end of the Longview 52-14 shellacking, but the game provided an opportunity to see evaluate Anderson against some undersized, but feisty defensive front. Anderson showed anchoring ability against short-statured, but leverage-oriented defensive linemen, which is a quality he will certainly need against larger SEC-level competition. Anderson plays with a consistently wide base that aids body control in multiple scenarios. He also displayed encouraging hand placement in the matchup against Longview’s smaller, quicker D-linemen. — Brooks
Michael Turner, 2025 Top247 four-star RB (online stream): In one of the best games from the second round of the TXHSFB playoffs, Richland High’s Turner was the driving force behind a 48-47 overtime comeback victory vs. Mont Belvieu Barbers Hill. Turner and the Royals trailed 34-9 at the half, but the four-star running back scored five touchdowns to help send the game to overtime. Turner carried his heaviest workload of the 2023 season, rushing the ball 44 times for 292 yards and four touchdowns along with two receptions for 24 yards and a TD. Considering the bell cow workload given to him during the game, it was incredibly impressive to see Turner retain his elite short-area quickness and burst deep into the fourth quarter. — Hudson Standish, 247Sports national scouting analyst
