The new Ai-ONE Silver and Ai-ONE Milled Silver putters demonstrate Odyssey’s commitment to their artificial intelligence-created Ai-ONE insert. If something is working, it makes sense to stay with it. What do I mean by “working”?
Last year, and for numerous years prior, Odyssey led the pack in wins and putters in play on all worldwide professional tours. Odyssey was indeed the “#1 Putter on Tour” and by a wide margin.
Odyssey’s recipe for success has always been simple. First, create iconic head shapes, like the 2-Ball, #7, Rossie and Jailbird. Next, design an insert that players like the feel of, one that helps the ball get to the hole. Odyssey’s inserts, be they White Hot, Metal X, or Ai-ONE, are always cutting-edge technologically.
If I had to choose between those two aspects, I’d put my money on the insert as the one thing that keeps golfers loyal to the Odyssey brand.
The Ai-ONE insert: If it ain’t broke …
So what is the story with the new Odyssey lines? First of all, the Ai-ONE inserts are continuing in both the Ai-ONE Silver and Ai-One Milled Silver putter lines.
As a refresher, the Ai-ONE insert was developed by artificial intelligence to normalize distance of roll from impact locations across the face. If you are off-center with your strike, the insert will help the ball roll the intended distance.
This should make your second putt shorter and reduce the number of three-putts.
Odyssey stops singing the blues
As the name states, the new Ai-ONE Silver and Ai-ONE Milled Silver putter lines have a new silver finish. Gone (mostly) is the blue finish that characterized the initial Ai-ONE lines.
Why did Odyssey change the color? To make money, silly.
Adding new finish options is a fairly standard practice in the putter world. Usually, we see an oscillation between silver and black finishes. For the Ai-ONE models, we are moving from blue to silver but you get what I am saying.
Silver for silver?
How does changing the color of a putter equate to making money? Simply put, some people won’t buy a blue putter but they will buy a silver one.
Making the initial run of Ai-ONE putters blue was a solid marketing plan. The color made them stand out in the marketplace as something different. Now that consumers are more familiar with the Ai-ONE design, Odyssey can offer versions of the putters that are more classic in appearance.
Golfers who were curious about the Ai-ONE technology but not down with the blue color will be very interested in the new silver look. If you were a fan of the blue, Odyssey has a couple of new models that still feature that classic Ai-ONE blue as well.
It is also worth mentioning that the original Ai-ONE and Ai-ONE Milled models will still be available in 2025.
New shapes on the block
While some golfers will be super-excited about the new silver color, Odyssey is also introducing some new models and neck variants to the Ai-ONE Silver and Ai-ONE Milled Silver lines.
Let’s take a look at what is new with the new Ai-ONE Silver line.
Three of the most popular heads are getting the Ai-ONE Silver treatment. There will be silver versions of the #1, Double Wide and #7 double-bend. Additionally, the #7 will be offered with a slant neck, a configuration absent in the original Ai-ONE offering.

Odyssey is also adding a couple of Jailbirds to the Ai-ONE line-up. These are not silver but they have some cool aesthetics nonetheless.
First, a Jailbird mini will be offered for the first time with a slant neck. If you dig the Jailbird alignment scheme but need more toe hang, this is your putter.

Versa 90 returns
More interesting, to me anyway, are the two Jailbird Mini Versa 90 models. Yes, you read that correctly, Versa 90. Some of you youngsters may not remember the first Versa release. While most of the putters had black and white alternating lines that were perpendicular to the target line, a few had lines that were parallel to the target.
Basically, the Versa alignment lines were rotated 90 degrees.
I loved the Versa 90 models. A white-black-white Versa 90 #7 did some serious bag time back then.
I think I mentioned my desire to paint my Square 2 Square Jailbird when I was talking about my five favorite putters of 2024. Versa lines and my eyes are not buddies.
Though these Jailbirds are not torque-free like the Square 2 Square Jailbird, the rotated alignment lines are exactly what I look for in a mallet. Now I just need to determine if I need a double-bend or crank hosel. Thinking that the crank hosel/plumber’s neck may be the call.

Ai-ONE Milled Silver models
Like the Ai-ONE Silver line, the Ai-ONE Milled Silver line will consist of four models. The Two T, Three T S and Seven T are all getting the silver treatment. The Seven T will be available with either a double-bend or crank hosel.
Obviously, the story here is the new silver finish. The finish pops in the sunlight but is not reflective nor glare-producing. It’s definitely more of a satin than a chrome finish. The silver finish provides a nice contrast to the green grass.
The gold plate on the bottom of the Three T makes it look especially fancy, if not expensive.

New Ai-ONE Milled Jailbird
Like with the Ai-ONE expansion, the Ai-ONE Milled line is adding a Jailbird. The Ai-ONE Milled Jailbird Mini T Versa 90 has the longest name in the history of putters and Versa alignment lines that are rotated 90 degrees.
The optics on the Ai-ONE Milled Jailbird Mini T Versa 90 are super-interesting. The rotation of the lines results in a large rectangle design in the center of the putter. Aim that huge alignment line at the hole and fire away.
Since the hole is still in the center of the putter, you will still have a bit of the traditional Versa alignment plan working for you as well. This is also true for the Ai-ONE Jailbird Mini Versa 90 models. Perhaps the combination of parallel and perpendicular lines will prove magical.

Ai-ONE evolution rather than revolution
2025 is a year of expansion for Odyssey’s putter lines. This makes perfect sense to me. Their Ai-ONE insert was a huge technological breakthrough last year and it makes sense to build on that breakthrough rather than try to recreate it.
Expanding the offerings, in both form and finish, and having last year’s models continue in 2025 means Odyssey will have a huge number of putters in the corral this year. These new additions bring the total Ai-ONE putter count to 17 with the Ai-ONE Milled offerings one behind at 16. There are the three Square 2 Square models as well.
In terms of visibility, having 36 models should ensure that there is an Ai-ONE model for nearly every golfer.
All of the models feature the assistive technologies of the Ai-ONE or Ai-ONE Milled insert and the often overshadowed assistive Stroke Lab 90 shaft as well.
Odyssey’s offerings in 2025 give you choices in the shop and assistance on the green. They even kept all of the pricing the same as it was last year.
