Ohio State issued an offer to fast-rising 2024 defensive lineman Carlon Jones on Monday. The three-star Nebraska defensive line commit from Bay City (Texas) is in the middle of a strong season, and several schools are coming around to see if they can pry him away from his commitment to the Cornhuskers. The 6-foot-2.5, 270-pound prospect is ranked as the No. 69 defensive lineman in the country and No. 91 overall prospect in Texas, according to 247Sports.
While Jones has received more attention as of late, the Buckeyes got his attention. Ohio State has an excellent tradition of producing defensive linemen under Larry Johnson. Jones feels the offer signifies the hard work he’s put in playing on both sides of the ball.
