Ohio State star running back Quinshon Judkins underwent a minor procedure this week on a hand injury but is not expected to miss any time for the Buckeyes, sources tell 247Sports and CBS Sports.
Judkins had been dealing with the injury leading up to Ohio State’s 32-31 loss to Oregon last Saturday and now got it repaired during the Buckeyes’ bye week. Judkins, who transferred to Ohio State from Ole Miss this offseason, teams with TreVeyon Henderson to form arguably the nation’s top running back tandem.
Led by those two, the Buckeyes rank second in the Big in rushing (209 yards per game) and eighth nationally with an average of 5.9 yards per carry. Judkins leads Ohio State with 491 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns and is averaging 6.9 yards per carry.
Before transferring to the Buckeyes, Judkins ran for 2,725 yards and 31 touchdowns in two seasons at Ole Miss.
Following its bye week, Ohio State faces Nebraska next week and then No. 3 Penn State.
