The Tigers have a very successful passing attack – 10th nationally in success rate – and a fledgling run game. But LSU’s been picked apart in the secondary this year, which is a problem playing opposite Jaxson Dart and his stable of wide receivers. LSU also lacks the impact d-linemen to take advantage of a potential o-line weakness for the Rebels. Still … this is Death Valley at night. Arguably the toughest road environment in college football. Crawford (LSU +3.5) — Going into Tiger Stadium at night is quite the challenge for Ole Miss in this one, especially since LSU is coming off an open date. These teams have split the last four matchups and lots of points have been scored in every game. Given LSU’s struggles at the back end of the defense, expect more of the same. However, Garrett Nussmeier has enough firepower to keep the Tigers in it and is now getting help from a freshman running back, too. I simply can’t take the Rebels here when getting points, at home, with LSU under the lights. … LSU 38, Ole Miss 31.
