Lyle ran for 1,376 and 21 touchdowns, averaging 10.6 yards per carry at St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.) last season. He caught 13 passes for 177 yards and one score. He’s top-ranked back in a Miami class that included three-star Chris Wheatley-Humphrey.
“Two guys that just amassed a massive amount of yardage this year, tough yards, open-field yards, make-people-miss yards, catch the ball out of the backfield,” head coach Mario Cristobal said of Lyle and Wheatley-Humphrey. “Really physical, really talented, really intelligent, high IQ guys, both on and off the field.
