The Detroit Pistons exercised the 2025-26 rookie scale team options for center Jalen Duren, guards Jaden Ivey and Marcus Sasser, and wing Ausar Thompson. These were the fourth-year options for Duran and Ivey, and the third-year options for Sasser and Thompson.
All four players are considered to be building blocks for the Pistons. Duren and Ivey started regularly last season, while Thompson swung between starting and coming off the bench. Sasser was a regular rotation player off the bench.
The Pistons have not exercised the four-year rookie scale team option for Wendell Moore Jr. Detroit acquired Moore in an offseason salary-clearing trade from the Minnesota Timberwolves. If his option is not picked up, Moore will become an unrestricted free agent next offseason.
